In case of death, I, ____________________________ of
______________________________,
a member of The Rosicrucian Fellowship of Oceanside, California, a Christian organization, make it my last request that the procedure of the Fellowship be carried out in the disposition of my body. This
request is made because of my belief in the Rosicrucian Teachings. If death occurs among strangers, they
will kindly communicate at once with the following persons, who are requested to carry out these
instructions as to method:

Method: The body is to be placed in a cool place or in an ice chamber for preservation during a period of
3 1/2 days (84 hours) after death. Embalming is absolutely not to be performed. The body is to be left in
a perfect quiet, away from all disturbing noises during this period. No postmortem operations are to be
performed previous to the expiration of the three and one-half days. At the end of this period the body is
to be cremated. Particular care is to be exercised that cremation is not performed previous to the 84 hours
after death for the reason that during this time the spirit still maintains connection with the body and
pain from burning is felt if cremation or embalming is permitted.
